Wedding Festivities Schedule

So in a little more detail we will explain what we will be getting up to. All of you are welcome to join us for any stage of the frivolities, fun, weekend, events, celebrations, activities etc etc.. Please do let us know below what you would like to be a part of so we can book numbers for the various events other than the wedding day.

We will be updating this page as we nail down the details of each activity, so please check back here for locations, times, etc.

Feb 14th - Barbecue - Location TBA

To start, we will be gathering for a BBQ in a location to yet be confirmed. Originally the invitation said Ruth and John Higginson's place on Magic Mountain, but it looks like the numbers are too great for this. Please stay tuned for a new location. As it may be in a park, we will start earlier at 3pm onward. 

Time: 3pm til 9pm

Dress code: beach wear

What to bring: What ever you would like to drink. Food Provided.

Feb 15th - A day at the track - Racecourse Dr, Bundall QLD 4217

No doubt with the Higginson gene heavily influencing this day, we will get started early. We will be there early to secure a good location. 11am would be a great time to get there for soaking up the whole day. We will be in the Heineken Bar.

Time: 11am - 5pm

Dress code: Smart casual

Feb 16th - Wedding Day - Goodwin Terrace &, Gold Coast Hwy, Burleigh Heads QLD

Please arrive at the Burleigh surf club at 5pm and grab yourself a drink. The ceremony will be at 5.30 on the deck, followed by rolling straight into the reception, music and a speech here and there. We have the Surf Club until 11pm and if there is a need to continue, we will head to one of the bars nearby. 

Time: 5pm - 11pm

Dress Code: Smart summer casual

Feb 17th - Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - 28 Tomewin St, Currumbin QLD

We will be hitting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary at 11am, then at 5 we will be having dinner at the Currumbin Surf Club. We will be booking tables, so please let us know if you would like to join us. 

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Time: 11am - 5pm

Currumbin Surf Club Time: 5pm - 8pm

Dress Code: Casual - Flip flops/thongs ok.

Feb 18th

We will be taking off to Byron Bay for a few nights - all are welcome and the party will continue. 

Feb 19th

Garth's 40th in Byron. Venue TBA

Feb 20th

Party continues in Byron. Venue TBA

Feb 21st - Feb 26th

We are taking off to Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef, Crocodiles and a stay in the town. All welcome if you're keen.
